I have a Galaxy S5 that wont charge on the USB port (Also wont connect to a computer) I have a battery charging cradle, but I'd like to use my phone while its charging. I cant afford to replace the daughter board or a new battery. So I came up with a potential solution. You can add on aftermarket wireless charging on to the phones using contacts under the back plate, but most of those only put 5v at between 500 - 700mA into the contacts. I want to wire up a connector to the back that would hook into the wireless charging contacts and charge the phone that way. Only potential problem I see is I don't know if 5v at 2A would fry anything (I figure it wont, but until I have a new phone I don't want to chance it.) If any of you know if it would or see any other issues with the plan let me know. Thanks in advance for any input!
