Using two 3G sims and UK compatibility with Moto G 3rd gen Dual Sim?

My Dad wants to get a dual-sim phone so he can have his personal and work SIMs on one phone and has asked me for advice. He wants to use Three SIMs for both as they're the cheapest for PAYG but they only work on 3G. I know my Moto G 2nd Gen can only have one 3G sim, whilst the 2nd only runs at 2G but I don't know if that's the case with the 3rd gen as well. I'm not really considering the 4th gen as they've left the compass out, crippling it's usefulness with Google Maps and similar.

So can anyone confirm whether the 3rd Gen can run two 3G SIMs simultaneously or not? Even though I wouldn't recommend it for my Dad, I'd be interested to know about the 4th gen as well.

Also, I note the LTE bands shown here http://ift.tt/2aSC2D9(3rd_generation) for the single-sim Europe model and the dual-sim models differ slightly but the XT1550 and XT1557 are only missing B20 (800). Is that going to affect the usability much in the UK?
