Bluetooth Keyboard & Bluetooth Mouse makes Fire 7 a small android touchscreen laptop

I paired a bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse with my Fire 7 (rooted with Nexus ROM loaded). It now works like a small android touchscreen laptop.

I am using a Logitech Bluetooth Multi-Device Keyboard (K480) and a Microsoft Bluetooth Sculpt Touch Mouse.

You don't need to touch the screen, unless you want to. The mouse performs all touch and drag functions. All of the screen touch functions still work (except the on-screen keyboard does not appear as the bluetooth keyboard takes over).

When using a bluetooth mouse alone, the on-screen keyboard no longer appears. So you should use a bluetooth mouse and bluetooth keyboard in combination.

This turns the Fire 7 into a touchscreen android laptop. It works in portrait or landscape mode.

When you turn off bluetooth on either the tablet or the mouse and keyboard, the tablet returns to normal operation.

I have also used other brands of bluetooth mice and bluetooth keyboards on the Fire 7, bluetooth 3.0 & 4.0. They all seemed to work well.

If you have a bluetooth mouse and bluetooth keyboard laying around, pair it up with the Fire 7 and you will have a $50 laptop.
