Is this going to brick my phone? (VM lg ls770 )

I have a LG ls770 (supposedly for virgin mobile, but the IMEI check online said it was a boost phone...) and i kinda need root, for the stuff i do with automagic and Xposed..

this came up when i googled "root ls770 marshmallow" , and claims it's featured on XDA.. Is this going to brick me? I really can't afford a new phone right now.
